PalliDoc ambulantThe software for mobile palliative care!
PalliDoc® Outpatient is a software designed to support healthcare providers in the coordination, documentation, and quality assurance of mobile palliative care (SAPV, AAPV, MPT, PKD). PalliDoc enables the documentation of the patient’s status and performed services across various locations—even when there is temporarily no internet connection. Data collected by the team is exchanged either cyclically at configurable intervals and/or manually at the push of a button. Additionally, in areas with reliable internet coverage, data can be accessed via the PalliDoc web application on tablets and smartphones.
Originally developed as software for Specialized Outpatient Palliative Care (SAPV), PalliDoc® Outpatient has been expanded in collaboration with numerous palliative care teams to meet the needs of General Outpatient Palliative Care in Germany and Austria. From patient admission through chip card reading to billing at the push of a button via DTA or KVDT standards, the software offers a wide range of modules to support service provision. A primary focus is placed on the security and availability of data during patient care. Local storage of data on team notebooks guarantees data availability on-site with patients.
Data Exchange with PalliDoc® Hospice, PalliDoc® Inpatient, and PalliDoc® Hospice Association
In cases where the outpatient palliative care team collaborates with a hospice, a palliative care ward, or a hospice association that also uses PalliDoc, it is possible to quickly and easily exchange all relevant patient data when patients transition between care settings.

It offers a wide range of options for documenting patient care services, reflecting the comprehensive care provided in residential hospices. The software can be extensively customized to meet the individual needs of each facility. Based on the recorded data, the necessary performance records and invoices for billing are generated at the push of a button.
PalliDoc® Hospice features modules for documenting nursing services, care planning, medication usage, as well as laboratory and functional parameters. This enables PalliDoc® Hospice to cover all aspects necessary for patient management in inpatient hospice work.

PalliDoc® Inpatient supports service provision in inpatient palliative care units. It offers a wide range of options for documenting patient care services, covering the comprehensive care provided in inpatient palliative wards. The software is highly customizable to meet the individual needs of each ward. Based on the recorded data, the palliative care-relevant OPS codes (e.g., 8-98e and 8-98h) and the required services are clearly listed at the push of a button and can be exported as performance records or reports if needed.
PalliDoc® Inpatient features modules for documenting nursing services according to PKMS, visualizing the services necessary for OPS coding in palliative care, and recording medication usage. This enables PalliDoc® Inpatient to cover all aspects essential for patient management in palliative care units.

PalliDoc Hospice Association The Software for Volunteer Care in Palliative Care!
PalliDoc® Hospice Association offers modules for progress documentation, volunteer coordinator management, and the generation of required reports at the push of a button.
PalliDoc® for Hospice Associations supports coordination of volunteer care in palliative care. With PalliDoc®, you can quickly and easily record all necessary admission and progress data of your patients. The integrated management of volunteer hospice companions provides a clear and organized overview of all essential information about your volunteers. At the push of a button, gain insight into which volunteers are currently assigned to which patients and who is on a break.
In the volunteer management module, you can store all relevant information about your hospice companions. Alongside basic data, details such as qualification status, availability, preferred assignments, and many other attributes are systematically recorded and presented in an organized and sortable manner. Automated generation of all reports and statistics in accordance with the german §39a, as well as billing for volunteer efforts, are also included in the functionality.

PalliDoc Backgrounds
Data Exchange
With an innovative data exchange concept that allows the sharing of collected patient data across the entire palliative care team while still enabling offline reading and data entry, PalliDoc® (Outpatient, Inpatient, and Hospice) places interdisciplinary collaboration at the center of patient care in palliative medicine.
This solution complies with strict data protection regulations applicable to patient data by implementing end-to-end encryption, ensuring that security standards recommended by the Federal Office for Information Security (BSI) and the National Association of Statutory Health Insurance Physicians (KBV) are met. Patient data is stored exclusively on computers within the team, facility, or hospital.
Technical Architecture
PalliDoc® (Outpatient, Hospice, and Inpatient) is a client-server based software solution. Firebird or PostgreSQL are used as database management systems. The clients are developed in the Java programming language. The client installation package includes the necessary Java Runtime Environment, eliminating the need for separate Java maintenance on the client side. Supported operating systems include all Microsoft Windows versions from (and including) Windows XP as well as macOS.
Direct connection to health card readers is possible. Interfaces to practice management systems and hospital information systems support BDT/GDT and HL7 standards.
Data Protection and Security
All data recorded in PalliDoc® (Outpatient, Hospice, and Inpatient) is stored exclusively on computers within the team, facility, or hospital. System access requires an individual username and password. All actions within PalliDoc® are documented in an audit trail and can be reviewed at any time. Various role-based access controls allow restrictions on access to specific patients and data groups within PalliDoc®.
